does any one know if there are engines out there other than the mach .15 with a little more power that can easily be converted over without much expence? and also how do you tune a mach .15, i think that just may be the problem... also, can you use front ribbed tires on a road course without much wear... i have speed hawgs for the rear but wasn't sure if i needed to purchace some for the front as well... thanks,

a couple of questions for the xxx-nt

You need a long threaded shaft engine with side exhaust. Speed is not everything, you have to be able to control the truck. Consistensy and being able to corner will win races. O.S., Pico, and Nova Rossi make excellent engine that will fit.

thanks scott, i have two xxx-nt's one for racing and the other to bash around, the basher is the one i was looking for a larger engine for... the engine companies that you have listed, will they fit directly in or do i have to buy seperate parts for it?? if so, what parts??

The O.S. .15 CV-R(X) with a rotary carb should bolt right in as well. I have one in my xxx-nt and had one in my t-maxx. It didn't have enough grunt to pull the maxx around without overheating.
As for the xxx-nt, i can't hardly control it with this engine in it. I have it geared as high as i could find a clutchbell for and it still breaks the tires loose on dry warm pavement.
The 15 is a good solid engine that will give you plenty of hp and life as well. I'm on gallon 6 in my xxx-nt and it's still running strong.

well i guess it really depends on what i can get out of what i spend... i mean.. if i can get an engine for 150 that is good or i can get an engine for 200 that is jus a lil better than id get the 150... it really jus depends on the "value" of the engine
