Although I have some spaztix gold that I'm anxious to try.
I just used it yesterday for the first time. I just finished an Escalade EXT. I did blue flakes in the 1st clear coats, then backed it with Parma black. The end result is beautiful, just as I expected.
I had masked off the side trim and the 2 end rails on the roof rack to do in gold. Take my advise here, practice on scrap.
It's transparent, and gets backed with chrome.
My trim looks like polished copper. Actually a great match against the body, but the gold should have been ONE very light coat to look like gold. Trust me...Do some test runs.
I found out that Parma black backing is the best for Spaz Stix chrome. When I backed some with white Spaz backing, the next mask pulled off some white, which in turned pulled off all but the first coat of chrome, leaving a mottled look in the grill, even after touch up.
