just wondering what size pinion is the best to optimize the 775, i am running a 19tooth and was thinking of buying a 17tooth for more torque, its in my emaxx, dont think a 20 or bigger will fit, cause of the single motor cover, or case , anyone run bigger than 20 in theres??

The lower the tooth count on the pinion the higher the top en speed and the lower the torque. You could go down a couple of teeth on the spur gear to get the same effect as raising the pinion gear tooth count.

i thought it was other way around, the fewer the teeth = more torque less topend ull have, and the more teeth = more topend, less torque

thanks for the help guys!!! I'm going to get a smaller spur gear to get more topend!! :)

ok got my 65 tooth spur gear, but now motor with pinion gear can't mesh properly cause of the trans below motor, the pinion barely touches the spur gear i dremeled the trans case below motor, but still wont work, and i dont wanna dremel to much of trans case away, anyone else have this problem when running 775 motor and , i know i can get bigger pinion, but was hopening to just replace my spur to get more topend,,,
