I have 650 to spend what brushless car or truck would you buy? I am leaning towards the New emaxx with water proof elecs and telemetry. What would you buy under 650?

mostly running it trough the neiborhood and hitting some jumps at the sod farm. on 6s

Personally, for an additional 50 bucks, I'd go with an E Revo Brushless instead of a E Maxx. They're so much more versatile as is. Or, with a little creativity, money and effort you can covert your Revo into a Short Course truck like a Slash, a truggy style truck or a trail blazer truck like a Summit. An E Maxx on the other hand, will always be an E Maxx.
That's JMO.

6s is tough on any larger brushless. I even seen early versions of the Savage Flux eating diffs and transmission gears.

I'm not set on traxxas. and I had a erevo about a year and a half ago. I liked it and wish I had never gotten rid of it. but I thought I would try something different.

what would handle 6s better savage hp or the lighter emaxx?

The eRevo. If you shim the diffs properly, you should be okay. I shimmed the diffs on my mERV and have never had a problem on 3s which is as tough on them as 6s is on its bigger brother.

Doesn't matter how well you shim the little traxxas diffs, 6S will eat them in short time.

I've run 6s on all 3 of my trx trucks and have had zero diff issues, what are you guys doing to them to kill them so easily
the only 2 issues I have had is destroying tires and on the e maxx I snapped the rear Centre shaft about 4 times doing back flips but a set of steels cads has fixed it
if I had to choose between an e revo and e maxx I'd go the e revo, it's a lot more durable.I've put a lot my $$ into the maxx to make it last the stock bulks are a joke but I haven't broken an arm to date just bulks and skids and a shock tower but you get that running a truck to 70 km/h into your wife's stationary car.

Why set on running 6S? I run 4S in my e801Xt (a 10 pound 1/8 truggy), and it's plenty fast.

As for what I would buy if I had $650 burning a hole in my pocket right now? Honestly, I'd let it smolder a little longer, then jump on a Losi Desert Buggy XL when I hit $1,000. But I already have 27 kits, 1/16 scale up to 1/8 truggies.

A guy has a used savage hp for 400$. Is that a pretty good deal? It cones with extra street tires, stock tires, and New set.should I jump on it or is that about average price for a used savage?

I wouldn't do it, not when you can buy brand new for $400-$500.

It frees up about 130 for upgrades. But a new one I know it hasn't been beat down.??? If I buy new it would probably be the emaxx. I like all the New goodies on the New emaxx.

Erevo, summit, or a 1/5 scale gasoline.

Maybe a diesel mod with a turbo. And some coal. Hahaha
