4th of July Celebrations

It's almost here again. Are any of you doing anything special, traveling, parties or?

We hold a block party in our court. We block the street off, order a bonce house house for the children, pull out the bbqs, set up the margarita machine, open up the pool to all and at dark we will light about 86 lbs of fireworks.

I'd like to hear from some of you as to what you will be doing for the 4th.

Wife just went on vacation for 3.5 weeks so I'm a bachelor. Taking the boat to the lake on Sat to um.. fish. I hope all the chicks in their skimpy thongs don't scare all the fish away.

My familie is haveing a party and my cousin has like $600 worth of fireworks he drove down to south carolina for on monday and brought back to PA

Unfortunately, here in NY, fireworks are illegal to buy/sell. Seems that irresponsible morons in the past ruined it for all of us. The whole terrorist alert does help matters much either... I am fortunate enough to live about 15 minutes away from the World Renowned Grucci Fireworks plant. They usually about on 1 or 2 "special" hometown shows for the locals...

well the ones we got from SC are illegal in PA but they dont care as long as it dont get out of hand.I was watching a news report that in delaware fireworks are illegal to posse,buy/sell,and set off,Even sparklers.And why the reporter was saying how the sparkler sparks can burn your eyes and poop she was holding a lit one right next two her face.But i think the sparklers being illegal is a little to far.

We always make our own fireworks. We have about 100 Lbs. of them so far. Nothing super fancy just super load explosions that go high up in the air. We always set them off from about 150 ft. away electronically just in case we fiddlesticked something and it just explodes there.

I'd rather go fishing, come home, light some fireworks off, then go fishing forever....tolling for thongs^%&*%^ I ment bass, trout, fish...

In Ca we have the legal ones that make a lot of noise and shoot sparks all over the place. The court that I live in has a lot of really good folks that like to come a couple of times a year and party. I'm in charge of the fireworks and drinks......go figure.

Just got back from day 1 of 3 at the lake.
There wasn't as many people there as I thought there would be.
Weather was great and I caught 6 Large Mouth Bass and 1 Small Mouth.
3 Of them were good size and the rest were under 2 lbs.

Man that weather looks awesome.... we actually had some nice weather today also. But I spent most of it on the computer LOL.....

Nothing really going on here in NYC. The club, QURC, will be holding a bbq in the park and run our cars till the afternoon. Afterwards, it's off to watch the macy's fireworks on the east river from a freinds terrace while kicking back drinks and food.

About 8200 feet, east of Yosimite and just north of Mammoth. Lot's of trout, .75 to 2.5 lbs usually. Not uncommon to catch several at about 1.5 lbs.

Man, This was the most awesome 4th ever for my friends, family and I. Went over to the parents house for dinner where I ate some awesome New Mexican and Northern Italian cooked by mom. Then we went out to be friends Ranch where we feasted on some of the best BBQ and truely gormate steaks I've ever had. We had an amazing firework show their and set off some "homemade" firecrackers that would have given Janet Reno a heart attack. I couldn't believe the size of the artillery shells we had. Some of these things looked and sounded like pro pyro mortars. We had to leave early but we got to c most of the fireworks and did many a 6 gun salute with loud ass .308 blanks.

When we got back to the city it looked like a beautiful warzone(for lack of better expression..lol). Their must be a hightend sense of patriotism that made people shell out the big bucks on Illegal fireworks this year, as I've never seen so many fireworks going off in the city. 360degrees of Artillery shells and large rockets. It looked like some of the neighborhoods where on fire as their was a thick smoke cloud everywhere.

Then we got to a friends party and the dude across the street from him put on the biggest firework show that I've ever seen. Just when you thought it would end he'd break out another illegal "grand finale" fountain. The firedepartment showed up(of course) and the guy pleaded the fifth(no fine which is up to $1000.00 this year and no fireworks taken). Twenty minutes after the FD left the crazy bastard shot off another $200 wortth of amazing fireworks. We got smashed and drove home in some rich dudes H2 Hummer limo(Freaking H2's..lmao)

FastEddy and StretchM - Nice fish guys. Nitro is great and all but I'd give it up in a heartbeat if I had to choose between fishing and NItro. We'll all go Fishing in Alaska. I'll get the plane tickets and the charters and you boyz bring the beer.

We bought this one for our block party. It's more than eighty pounds. 100% legal. It takes about an hour to finish it off.
