Tank 4 of break-in... This happens. What should I do?

turn you idle up a little also by tank 4 your ok to lean the lsn out just a touch to get it to be able to rev up. Every 3.3 I have ever broken it which is quit a few by the 3rd or 4th tank I had to lean the lsn out just a little to get it to tank any throttle. Don't lean it like a 1/4 or 1/2 turn just like a 1/8 or 1/16 clockwise. When you turn your lsn in a little it will raise your idle some as well.

You can also let it idle for a min or two before trying to give it any throttle. In other words warm the engine up some before trying to give it throttle. Breaking in a nitro engine is a art and just make sure you follow the instructions word for word and breaking one in can be aggravating.

I should also mention that this is the average amount of fuel that comes out of the tuned pipe every time:

Well I might have to take it into my hobby shop because I'm not sure what to do. I tried your suggestions which were great, but they still did not help!

There should be a ton of extra fuel coming out of the exhaust during break in. If your unsure of what your doing taking it to your lhs would prob be your best bet unless you know somebody with one that they can give you some pointers. I prob would have never gotten into nitro cars unless one of my really good buddies didn't already have one and walked me through step by step tuning and working on them. I have been in them for almost 6 years now and still don't know everything and still get stumped sometimes. Thats part of the learning process and you will never learn unless you try and you may screw up but thats part of it. Turn your idle screw in about 1/4 turn and see if you can just get it to idle and once the engine warms up you should be able to give it some throttle.

i would not lean out the lsn right now first try the hsn 1/4 clock wise and maybe the ajust the idle alittle.

You can lean it a little but thats not going to help with the situation your having right now. Your HSN only takes into effect at about 1/2 throttle on. Sometimes when I am breaking a nitro engine in and I get to the 4th tank which is 1/2 throttle for 3 sec I believe I have to lean the HSN out a little to keep it from bogging out so bad it dies. You don't want to start leaning it out too much for atleast 1 more tank. Just remember it is easier to tune your engine rich to lean and not lean to rich so don't go to crazy on turning your needle's. If you get to far off track always go back to factory settings and start over. There is a nitro flow chart in one of the sticky's I believe it's under introduce yourself or nitro talk anyway it is extremly helpful.

Fixed! By the awesome dude at hobby works! Turns out my hsn was way to rich from the factory and the lsn was too lean (my fault:P) as you said this is all about trail and error
