My motor is near the end of its life. I have lost a lot of Compression but it is winter now and I can not break in my new motor till it warms up. I was trying to find smaller shims , all I can find is .2 .3 .4 can you find any .15 or .1's?

But will increase compression

Negligible. You're talking a few thousandths of an inch, maybe a 3-5% change in combustion chamber size.

Why don't you just do a bench break-in on your new engine, where you can control temps better? I do most of mine that way, allows you to keep much better tabs on fuel mixture and temps. Just use a small fan, adjust it's speed and distance from the engine to keep in the target temp range.

Can you give more info on how to do a bench break in? Does the motor need to be under some type of load?
