Is there a way to convert a 2wd slash to a 4wd slash?
@DavidB1126 Is the Traxxas Slash king. He knows it inside and out. He's definitely the man to ask anything about the Slash.

you couldn't do that with any RC model. There's to many differences between the two models. With 2wd and 4wd.. happy bashing👍👍

Blind leading the blind above. 🤣

As mentioned the whole rear arm setup, drive shafts, and hardware is about it chassis wise.

It would be easier and cheaper to get one esc for two motors, or a second motor esc and put another rear tranny on the front.

That was the og 4wd stampede early 2000. I did that 2008 or so.

Inside out, upside down and right side up! Sometimes maybe flying in the air. 🤪
Ask me anything about the cars I own. I know them very well. Slash 2wd Rustler 2wd, Losi.mini B, Associated B74.1.
I also the know the whole lineup. Traxxas 2wd and 4x4 lineup. Losi Minis, Associated B64/B74 series.
Feel like I'm in school, studying for a RC car test 😂

🤣🤣🤣 I love it,

I would say the easiest way to do it would be. Just pick up a 4x4 slash roller. And throw the electronics and tires into. I don't think the 2wd slash chassis or front end would fit or hold all of that.

I would have loved to see that stampede. That had to be a sight to see. And a hell of a build. To think up throwing a tranny on the front.

Plenty of gold pan RC10s became 4WD in the ’80s, there were even commercial kits available from MIP and some others.

Buggies like the Schumacher CAT, Yokomo YZ-870C, and Kyosho Optima Mid made the converted 2WD buggies obsolete.

So while it is possible, buying a wheeler straight away has been the way to go for 35+ years.

I remember them MIP conversions for the RC10. Even the first chain ones. Very primitive looking finished product, but lead to greater things down the road.

If someone has the talent, recourses, and patience... anything is possible. Yes?
