2s 6500 mah 60c for 39.99 and its a decent pack

On a different forum there is a battery company that caught my eye called SMC. I purchased one of their 2s 6500mah 60c factory spec batteries at 39.99. At this time I have only put about 3 cycles through it, and so far its a great battery almost up there with my thunder power. I did alot of research before I bought one, and couldn't find any complaints except that they use Chinese deans instead of real ones. After a few months on this pack I will post an update, but I just wanted to let everyone here know they have packs cheap for practice, and also cheap roar packs. SMC batteries are GREAT batteries!!!! i run them in some of my cars, and for the price, they can't be beat.

I've ran them since December and I got no complaints either. Well one they're constantly out of stock in Canada and when they are in stock I'm broke lol. I wish I could still get lipos shipped across the border. They even have distributor up here in Canada who can't get them fast enough either, a lot of the racers here use them.

you can pre-order them now through the website when they are out of stock. I ordered mine last week and it showed up on Wednesday.

Yeah but you can't ship lipos across the border anymore, well regular consumers can't. I actually just found a place selling them in Canada and they have a lot in stock, get paid Friday so I think I shall be ordering some Friday.

Ahh I thought he had a warehouse in canada or something, ends up its just a company he sells to. One thing I do like is his damage warranty. If you damage your battery in a wreck you can buy replacements at 30% off. I thought that was neat.

There's a couple shops that sell them, usually they're sold out before they even get them in stock. There is a "distributor" but I don't how many he keeps, he might be doing it out of his house for all I know.

IF even these packs last half as long as your 120$ 100c 2s pack, the SMC pack is 1/3rd the price and I know my SMC out performs my thunder power battery hands down. So even if it lasts 1/2 the time you can still get almost 3 batteries for the price of one. But I have read through much of the SMC battery thread on another forum, and find very few complaints, although I am still searching.

Calm down Big Jim. I've been pretty hard on my SMC lipos and they are perfectly fine. I've even had my 3s fly out of my slash and it's still okay. I mean no harm.

Someone's on edge.........., you havent been racing with Lipo's longer than he has been alive, they havent been out that long.

Sorry but SMC did have an Issue with 5000mh Lipos. It was over three years ago. I just don't think it's wise to tell people they must have done something wrong when you do not know that for a fact. Sorry I reacted harshly!
