I am going, taking my 12yo son for a father-son trip to the Associated Vintage Championships in Las Vegas from Oct 16th thru Oct 19th. We will be racing 89-93 2WD (probably practice and qualifiers only for fun), going with my Brian Kinwald RC10 RERE. Starting to panic about tires though, sounds like the track is going to be classic style loose loamy dirt. In the old days I would have ran X-Patterns. I am looking at running 2.2" Wheels, since the Masami kit has this size and that kit is permitted (per the very vague rules).

I have no idea where to start on Tires, as I currently run indoor offroad (Smoothie 2 slicks on clay). Will probably stick to JConcepts as they are a race sponsor and I use them already. Anyone have any suggestions for wheel size, tire type, compound, etc.?

Thanks in advance!

Anybody know where i can find a starting setup for my RC10 Kinwald for the Vegas Vintage race? Kit setup any good?
