I was wondering if this is a good deal to get a T-Maxx used for $200. It needs a temp gun and gas. Should have more details later.

Thanks for the Help

Need a lot more to decide than that. Damage? condition? version like Ratzo asked?

Is this your first rc car? I would say a maxx is a good truck. I would ask him to start it up for you and have him drive it around. If it is working perfect then yes it is a good deal. You might want to also find out if it comes with the other basic stuff like a battery charger( needed for easy start) and a battery(Again you only need this stuff if the t-maxx has a easy start).

on the starter side of the motor it says easy start trx .15
sorry but I don't have that many details now but it has nice aluminum shocks.
It looks pretty good just a scratch here and there.
Would pics help?
It is also my first nitro rig
Does anyone no if I could find a site on taking a rig apart or do they come with manuals

$200 for a t-maxx .15 is a bit much in my opinion.
A couple of pics (800x600) would help.
Thanks

I think the price is a bit steep. I paid $175 for my pro 15 maxx like 3 years ago.. That was when the 2.5 just came out.. Since then theres been the 2.5r, and now the 3.3.. I wouldnt pay anything over $150.

$150 or so is a fair price... About a year ago, I sold my maxx for $175. It had the stinger, a megatech .16 pullstart, and forward only. It was lacking a transmitter and reciever, but stock/rtr otherwise.

lol I think $100 is all i would offer him... In his case if he dont play with it anymore then he will take the $100 the chances of him selling it for much more then that are slim.

I sold my Tmaxx for $300 that I had $1400 into..lol.. I thought I got a awesome price (Even though I took a big loss on it). Was all aluminum, had the big block conversion with a rcs cage... Was pretty nice actually, but I dont miss it.

is it possible to buy a bigger engine and put it in this body?
thxs

yes...anything is possible in life...I few company's make conversation kits for the maxxs. IMO they are not worth for hassle or time. Once you start putting more torque and RPMs on the drive starts that start to break more often. Once you upgrade to CVD's then you diffs could start to go. My best friend did this to hi maxx. after he was all done he said this thing is not way weaker then what it was stock, so he bought a revo and just put his nice bling maxx on the shelf.
I really think that on a t-maxx upgrade to rpm a-arms a then drive it.
