Unless you just have to have bragging rights about the amount of Nitro in fuel, for bashing I would recommend using a good quality 20%.

20% is probably easier since its more forgiving than using 30%. You may have to add/remove a shim underneath the head. If you are not keen to tuning, I suggest you go with the general census and stick to 20% nitro.

Well IMO i bought Odonnels 1 gallon 20% and 1 gallon 30% mixed the two together for what are my atempts at 25% witch by the way most engine manufactures recommend. If you run 30% richen your fuel intake a little.
If power is what your lookin at nothing beats Dissplacment( get a bigger motor) keep nitro content down and motors clean they will love you for it.

I just bought an LRP28 and the manual recommend 25%. Up until now I had pretty much always ran trinity MHP 20%. I'm running byrons 25% in it and it runs great. I had a hard time with the first few break-in tanks running 20%, then picked up a gallon of the 25%.

Experienced tuners can increase the percentage. They are able to tune the engine accordingly. Some who are new can find the information on what may be needed when changing fuel nitro percentage.

I personally have a book from the hobby shop that has helped me.

You guys understood what he asked?? wow!

I'm assuming he asked, WHICH fuel to use JUST bashing around with his FRIENDS at his HOUSE.

I use 20% but I get the stuff with less oil. The stuff I use is called "white lightning", and has 8% oil. It uses an oil that works better so less is required, and less oil equals more go!. It is very important though, to use ARO every time, if you use the fuel with less oil. There isnt much of a residual oil film in the engine as there is with the fuels with higher oil content.

There is still enough oil to keep the engine happy, just not much left over.
