#1) Is it normal for a mini-t with stock elecronics(receiver, radio, speedcontrol, ect.) to get out of range within about 15 ft?
#2)When upgrading your electronics, did you find yourself spending over $200 because you had to replace other things?(steering servo, speed control,ect.)thanks.

#1 no, check your batteries and make sure they are fresh/fully charged. Also make sure there is no damage to the antenna, or the antenna has not been shortened. Make sure that there is no interference i.e. try another location, same problem?

#2 Yes, replacing all the elctronics is about $200 if you include, battery, servo, RX, and motor (this is assuming you already have an aftermarket TX). It can be done for cheaper I am sure if you barging shop but..........

No it's not normal. You are getting interference.

And yes upgrading will cost u the price of another mini-t.

I think it's where I live cause my neighbors mini t did the same thing mine does until he got an aftermarket reciever, which in turn caused him to have to buy a new speed control and a new steering servo. Thanks for the replies.

yea you would have to buy a new servo the stock one has a 4 pin plug and all of the others have a 3 so yes you have to buy a new servo

i would get the mini-t surface kit its 150 insted of 200 and it comes with servo, reciever (and controller), and esc
