i just put the 2.5 in my rustler it was a 1.5 . It seems like the flywheel is really hard to turn. THis is a brand new engine. But it almost seems it binds not just compression. Is this normal? Also have another question the clutch should not engage with me just turing the flywheel correct. It only engages at higher rpms. Thanks for looking and I appreciate any help
Nate

What it had, was a .15. Being hard to turn is not unusual. If it's stubborn to start with the EZ start since it's new, run a hair dryer on it for a while.
The clutch will not engage till higher RPMs, and often won't shift into second till it's well into its' break in.
Be patient with the break in. The result will be a dependable long lasting engine.

Since it is a new motor it is going to be hard to turn my hand... The clutch should only engage when the motor at a certain rpm... So you should be able to spin your bell clutch and with out it draging .... when I spin mine it will spin for a good 45 seconds

The clutch bell is that gear right?

Yes the CB (clutch bell) is on the engine, the fly wheel is the gear that the CB turns. The fly wheel is located on the tranny. Correct me if I'm wrong.

nope ... they fly wheel holds the clutch shoes and springs...the clutch bell allmost touches the fly wheel that is attached to the engine. The spur gear is what you are thinking of.
