2.4 and digital servo's

I know there are some Spektrum type transmiter receivers out there that don't require you to also have digital servo's but what brands are they besides Traxxas's new one for the Brushless Revo?
I'm looking to get one for the Slash. I am sure I wouldn't need a 3 channel one. What are good brands that don't need a digital servo?

I have the Airtronics MX-3 FHSS. It has been updated with the MX-3 FHSS-2 but they are the same system overall. I have been using analog servos since I bought it and it works perfectly. It is 3 channel in case you ever need a light system or get an MT. It costs the same as the 2-channel Spektrum system but you get 9 times the model memory. It's also WAAAAAAAAY easier to navigate the menus.

I have a spektrum DX3.0 and I run analog servos and digital servos with it without an issue.

Servos I run:
JRZ590M (duals on the aftershock for steering and one on my jato for t/b)
Hitec 985MG (throttle/brake on both my savage and aftershock)
TowerPro 995MG (supposedly digital on my jato for steering)

And a JR digital older servo for the savage steering. Not sure what model, but I got it at a price I couldn't walk away from at my LHS since it was discontinued.

Hmm.. just wondering. Could I keep the analog Servo that is in my Slash if I get one like the model radio's you guys were talking about.

I don't believe you need to run digital servos with any radio, you just typically get better response and more torque with a digital servo. I have a Hitec Lynx 3D radio that I have used with both types of servos with no problems...

Okay, I should reveal the reason why I ask. Tower Hobbies has their own 2.4mhz receiver that is cheap but it was stated that you need to buy a digital servo.

well... NM the required part said servo of modlers choice is what it says now. I did read that you need digital servo at one point. not sure why it was changed. I may go this way with this controler. I don't know the absolute range on it is yet but I really have yet to run my Slash over 1000' away from me.

Well, ya'll wish me luck. I just ordered towers own spectrum type transmitter receiver. Currently it's on back order. I will give let ya'll know how it is when it gets here.... around June.

Yeah, when you see your RC struggling to respond to your controller when surrounding interference is making it bug out, makes ya want to get one.

I don't know where this myth about spread spectrum radios and digital servos came from but it's bogus. The only radio technology that requires digital servos (to my knowledge and experience) is Futaba's HRS system.
