Did you use NEW fuel?
It could be blowing some carbon build up out, but I haven't heard of anything putting out black exhaust. Have you checked the temperature when it's running?

i started it up thrice in the last 14 hours the first time gave out black exhaust and the 2nd was perfect and then the third died on itself...is there a certain way to ignite the glow plugs coz i jsut burned out 2 trying to start it a 4th time...yeah i was using byron 20%
 
In THIS THREAD, on top of this forum, is all the info you can use about glow plugs. If you look at them when they go bad, you'll be able to tell how to tune accordingly. Either to rich or too lean is hard on plugs.
 
Me and the old man had some fuel about that one had dis color tossed it brown looking the other ran great in our planes with bigger motors than the cars but cars (trucks) run hotter
