so i would like to aquire an 1/8 scale buggy... but do not know what i am looking for.. i want to get one durin summer when i ahve some money.... it needs to be extremely durable and yet fast... all for under 600 bucks... i heard alot about the storms but i dont know what is out there... so let me know what my options are and the pros and cons.... THANKS!!!

If that was my budget there are some good deals out now. The Hyper 7 PCR edition is on sale for $440 at www.acehardwarehobbies.com

Another choice is the new Swift buggy that is looking real promising and seems to have great support. I think that is around $550 RTR

You might be able to get the Storm kit and engine and radio for around $600 but that would be a close call you would have to go budget on the servos and radio. Just some initial ideas.

And a lot of HB Lightning Pro owners seem to really like their buggy so they must be doing something right so check that model also.

Dude my Storm RTR was only like 425 after tax.... thats another 125 bucks he can put into it and the radio equipment on the storm isnt that bad. Sweet radio, 3 channel R135, storms are nice choice

NL2377,

Take a look at the Swift Buggy, comes fully loaded, great 3 ch FM radio. Engine seems to be at the least OK. Car is light and balanced well. Only warning is that it is a new buggy, limited parts availablity. It is getting better though. There is also great support from the company. The best part is the price $450, fully loaded.
