1/8 buggy questions

I bought a LRP Rebel off a kid and Made a custom conversion to electric. I never used electric (brushless). Last electric car I had was a Frog lol. Don't know what motor or batteries to use.
I do have a friend selling a Tekin RX8/Redline T8 1/8th Scale Buggy Brushless ESC/Motor Combo (2050kV) He is asking $160 its new. Is that good for my buggy? What battery should I use?
Anywhere I can find info on this motor?

The Tekin setup is a great 1/8th scale setup and the price he is asking for it in brand new condition is great. I would use a 4S Lipo battery with at least a 60C rating preferably higher if your wallet allows.

what kv should I put in the buggy they range from 1300 to 2650. Which will suit me better? I'm trying to get into the outdoor race scene.

Usually what I've seen is around 2000kV for the buggies.
