Ok, this is my first buggy (EB4-S3) and it's finally complete. My question is about the bodies. Are all 1/8 bodies pretty much interchangeable just as the on-roads with a little "massaging?"

Only reason I'm asking is becuase the EB4-S3 body that I have has a slight bulge on the side to accomodate the header and pipe coupler. I have been looking at bodies on-line but can't really get a good look at one. Also, the front shock towers seem to be in a different spot as with the other buggies I have seen (behind the shock tower and slightly farther back on the nose). Will this pose a problem with other bodies or is it another "massage" type of deal.

DAMN, I'm an off-road newbie! For once, I'm at a loss and I'm stumped ...

I don't think most bodies fit anything. My MP7.5 didn't come close to fitting on my MP777. My MP777 body has that bluge as well, didn't really work tho... My X-T body doesn't fit my Ofna...I think most bodies are not interchangeable like on-roads.

DAMN, anyone else care to chime in? At least with the onroads, all I had to deal with were body holes and wheel arches.

bodies need to be picked to properly fit the bodymounts, shock towers, and side guards. interchangables that i know of are kyosho/storm/lightning, MBX-5/Xray, and ofnas are all thier own. try contacting chris at majestic bodies and see what he recommends or if he has anything specific to the car. his bodies are some of the toughest I've ever seen, and have proper clearance for throttle linkages so the paint doesn't get rubbed off.

Got a link to Majestic bodies?

he also does some killer paintjobs if your looking for something to just pull out of the box, trim out, and run.

and if you want to know a lil secret about his site, click on the "(C)" copyright symbol at the bottom of the homepage to see his personal pics of race footage and some bodies he's done, it rotates regularly.
