I run mine on 3s. Insane speed!

The only really necessary parts swap I'd recommend is the center diff to help keep all 4 planted.

The only part that i had to replace was a melted slipper that was an error on my part.

I have upgraded other parts, but because I wanted to not because I had to (the slipper is the sole exception).

the diffs are poorly designed, running on 3s will destroy them over time, back flips will do it, and dirt getting into the gears. there cheap which makes it alright tho. iv gone through 2 rear diffs now.

get a wheelie bar and a heatsink. other than that there great fun, hard to break and go pretty fast.

The 1/16 cars are brutally tough, i upgraded the a arms, installed some dirt hogs, and have beat it relentlessly! i only run 2s, but it is fast enough to keep me happy.

sorry the 3s and the 2s is Lipos? How is it with the parralell conector and second battery?

I love my MERV, it's my favorite ground RC and has been for a while now. I run both 2s and 3s packs, and beat the crap out of mine and haven't broken a thing in months of play time. Check the diffs before you ever put a pack in it, make sure their full of diff fluid, and you should be good to go. I have a few mods, but none that are a necessity.

you can only run 2-3s batteries in parallel and the nimh packs in series/parallel.

Id go for it and buy one man, i loved mine. Only thing was the tires ripped off the wheels cause its such a powerful little beast... Durability is top notch even from stock, 8.5/10. As for speed you can't get it up to full without a backflip (on 2 nimhs.) Havent tried a 3s or 2s so not sure about that.

On 3s with stock setup. Good luck getting past 1/2-3/4 throttle even in a straight line. 2s is fun and a safe speed. Still wheelies on half throttle

Any downfall with the lipos? I thought i remembered hearing they catch on fire and stuff?
