Just wanted to share my first thoughts. I sold my Savy X today and the Summit arrived shortly after. I bought the extra nimh and adapter to run two in series. At 14.4 volts the truck is still quick and has no problem flipping on its lid. Top speed is faster than you would think and it is very quick. When i bought it, i also bought the Traxxas Lipo. While its not much more insane top speed wise, the tq is. I did a full standing backflip 2 times in the living room in my small apartment without hitting anything else. I liked the revo but this has the revo suspension and is a Summit. It was the best of both worlds to me, and first impression is, its going to be a very fun truck. I wanted something to run at the beach and this truck being waterproof will allow me to come home and rinse it in the bathtub without tearing it apart, which is why i bought it. Too early to give any details but so far i think selling my Savy X and getting this was a good move so far.

My only problem with the little Summit is a single speed transfer case and no lockers. What's the point to that? Might as well get the Revo VXL.

I have 4 of the Traxxas 1/16th models, MERV, Mini Slash, Boss 302, and Rally. Love them all, with the Mini Slash being the HARDEST to drive. After trying the 50 MPH option on these, I decided that one 2200 mah Lipo battery in these cars gives them enough power. I found that at 50+ MPH, these little guys were just too hard to control.

The Summit being 4x4 definately keeps it manageable with the single lipo. Its pretty damn quick with the twin 7.2's as well.
