Hi everybody! I was just wondering what everybodys opinion is on the 1/10 Exceed Forza nitro .18 Rc car??

Thanks :)

Like Greywolf said, the lower end RCs aren't known for quality or parts support. Your best bet would be to just hold off for a little while, save up some extra money and do some research, then get something from one of the better brands (HPI,Traxxas,Associated, even ECX now). What are you looking to do with it?

I was looking to pretty much just run it on the road, as more of a speed car so i can beat my freinds (: Would that still be a problem?

were you run it doesn't change the fact that they are cheap, break easily, and have very little to no after market hop ups for them. If you want some cheap but decent quality to run on road look at OFNA. They have some kit that start around $300.

Yep, running on concrete can sometimes put more strain on the driveline. The tires won't loose traction like they will on dirt, this means the the driveshafts and diffs will get all of the power. When they're made of low quality materials, like the low end cars are made with, you'll be replacing them often. If you're running at high speeds, you WILL crash (ask Greywolf), even name brand kits will break, but you can either upgrade or go to a LHS and get replacement parts right away. With the online vehicles, you're pretty much stuck with buying the same stock parts and having to wait for them to get to you. The only cheap brand that I've seen sold by actual hobby shops is Redcat, you're still limited to Redcat brand upgrades, according to them aluminum parts are upgrades, after you've been in a while, you'll find that to not be true. What are you're buddies running?

yeahh, and a traxxass rustler, a stampede, and an armma granite. All of them are 2wd brushed

If your looking for a rig thats just going to be used to beat your friends, look into HPIs on-road rigs or anything from HPI-Traxxas-Kyosho-Associated.

But at all costs avoid cheap grade RC, or you will be broken and nowhere near as fast as you wanted to be.

What's your budget right now? It may be pretty close to getting a decent rig, especially if they're all running brushed.

dont forget even Kysho and thunder-tiger are pretty damn good

i upgraded my tomahawk ST to a big block .21 only thing i changed was custom engine mounts nothing else is completely stock I run it on and off road and still have not broken anything

I hate to recommend a used rig to someone new to the hobby but for that budget your best bet is going to be finding a nice used rig on craigslist. I would look for a jato or HPI on-road rig. You can usually find jato's for about 150-200 used on craigslist and they have a ton of aftermarket support and perform pretty well on the street.

The problem with Craigslist is that you are just buying someone else's problem. IMO just do it right, save the money and buy it new. Then you have a warranty as well.

For example. I bought a Used slash 4x4 on CL and blew the motor 10 after I got home. Could have just been my bad luck but i should have figured as much because it was priced to low. He claimed "price is low because I just need to get rid of it"

Thats why I said I hate to do it. Craigslist buys are not always bad. I have purchased a brand new revo never been run for $150 and a tmaxx with only a few tanks on it in like new condition for $150 as well as a new never run savage XL that I traded a cheap shotgun for. So there are good deals to be had you just have to be careful.

Yeah, oh and by the way, I'm not actually new, just new to the road and nitro side.
