I'm about to store my nitro 4tec away and want to put some after run oil in the engine. I don't have after run oil and was thinking of using a couple drops of 0w20 synthetic oil because that's what I have on hand. Is this a mistake ?

How long are you going to store it for?
After run oil isn't expensive compared even to bearings. I'd invest in something decent maybe?
I don't think I trust motor oil, even synthetic to be clean the detergent content is what really worries me.
I believe WD was a common after run back when that car was new. 👍

ARO and motor oil are not the same and I would not personally use it. You can get a 14oz bottle of HoBao OP-0127 After-Run Engine Oil from Amazon for $13. That bottle will last you quite a long time.

I would definitely NOT use typical motor oil as an after run oil. A regular 2 stroke oil might be a better choice but still not sure about that either.
