General RC Information
I bought this car from a guy at Hobby Proz in New Mexico. It was my first REAL RC car. It started it's life as an early Bandit VXL, but I suspect the guy later took out the VXL system and put a brushed system in it. I bought it for $100 even, and then just bought a charger ($30 Dynamite Prophet Sport Mini). It needed a bit of work, but then it drove properly, even thought the motor was SCREAMING. It's been through a couple different stages (Basher Bandit and Baja Bandit), but now it's at it's final stage: Retro Bandit. Now, Retro Bandit actually started out as a MM (Mid-Motor) project, but I soon got the idea for it to be, well, Retro. So I got to work, spending around $150 on it's conversion, to get it to where it is now. In the last couple days, I even got some parts 3D printed! (Battery brace, rear shock tower support.) Now, it's basically done, and ready for just about anything. I hope to work on making a front body mount soon, so then I won't have to use Velcro anymore. Enjoy the build!
(I'll try to post the tower support and front body mount file (probably on Scetchfab) so y'all can use it.)
