General RC Information

My Arrma Gorgon - Tractor Tires - Brushless conversion. I cut the stock body into a truck body. It's been vinyl wrapped. The rollbars are Infraction 3s type. The center hoop from side to side is Delrin tubing. I heated & bent it with a small tubing bender. The cab bulkhead is made from 1/16" ABS sheet. Also heated & bent. All secured with M2 button heads. The rear body post had to be cut & reconfigured to work. CA glue & M3s. The stock tires do ok, but no foams they collapse easily. The tractor tires are Jconcepts Fling Kings p/n3155. 12mm hexes & centering nuts, not flanged nuts. The ESC is a 100a Spektrum & SR315 receiver with a SLT3 transmitter. 3660 can with 3500kv, stock pinion & 2s Ovonic pack. 7075 GPM servo saver & Power HD 23kg servo. 30k rear Kyosho diff grease-blue. I made a front swaybar from 4mm aluminum tubing & bent the the small tubing bender. I added the pads for the mount out of steel stick epoxy to the front bumper with M3 brass inserts. The rod ends are M3 aluminum RC offset type. The center mount for the aluminum tube is Delrin tubing, drilled & reamed to slip fit. Mounted to the bumper with nylon wire type clips. Acts as a 'spring' also. Works very well & changed the handling characteristics drastically, much better. Rear shocks are stock 3s Senton. Front are the stock Gorgon with 500cst fluid. Fun rig. Does wheelies for days. Turns great. Does not flip over anymore. Takes a beating.

Challenges Faced
The steering RTR & the stock tires. Weak steering & I broke the stock servo saver. The RTR tires grip great but have no foams & collapse too easily. Changing the servo & servo saver is a task. Had to file the plastic hat on the Power HD one 0.020" to fit. But it's completely secure. Like a press fit.
