Yet another reason I hate eBay!

Oh and that is NOT including PP fees. That is auction fees as that's what we were talking about.
EDIT
Call of BS was semi accurate. Total sold this month is approx $600 (not original 800), Current fees are $55, but that also includes about another 400-600 worth of items I listed last night, however that only added a couple bucks as I try to keep my insertion fees to $0 by not adding all that crap alacart junk that rarely makes a difference, and my shipping is almost always free, I pad that into the minimum starting bid. If you do the right combination of things you can keep the fees down to a minimum.

I personally have no problem with the shpping fee because it curbs the people who charge $5 for item and $50 for shipping. While this simply seems like a deceptive way of selling to make their item look cheaper, there is a far more devious reason for this. When someone demands a refund guess how much they give back, yeap $5.

Maybe its not the best for sellers but for buyers like me its a deal. i once and awhile sell things in order to buy more stuff for my rc's but maybe all that small change for each listing can add up to serious dough after a ton of listings.

Even at 20% it would be a good deal in my opinion. How else will the average person be able to promote their wares to millions of people? Put your stuff for sale at a store that offers consignment and you'll likely pay atleast that much and have a tiny fraction of the people looking at it.

eBay has rules about that,it's called fee avoidance. If people would take the time to report it,the auctions would be gone. Too many times and the seller's account is suspended. The problem would disappear.

eBay is and will continue to be a last resort option for me except for buying. Then the rules are stacked in my favor.

CL, in most cases, is last resort for selling for me. I sold a older weedeater that worked fine on there. I pretty much just wanted to get rid of it and figured I'd get a 6 pack out of it so listed it for only $5. I actually had someone call and ask of I was firm on the price so I chewed him out and basically told him I'd rather put it on the curb rather then haggle of 3-5 bucks for a working trimmer and hung up. Point is that no matter how much tour asking, odds are your going to haggle on the price. If it can be easily shipped ill put it on eBay in a heart beat of CL. Another good example is a new slingbox, put on CL for a month for $50 with no interest, then put on eBay and it went up to $80. Hard to best that.

I've had some weird things happen on ebay lately. I've bought 3a dynamite tool sets paid for them and waited and they never showed up. I contacted the sellers and no response. A week went by from my last email then I noticed I was refunded my money. It was just strange. But at least I got my money back.
