When I was in the market for a buggy I though long and hard on the XTM. It looked great, had a big engine and the price was right.
Two things that kept me away was the lack of support for parts, both stock and aftermarket at my LHS and probably the biggest factor........no one at the tracks had one. Popularity is a good tool when deciding on what to get. I'm not saying follow the crowd like some sheep, but more often than not you'll find that the best rides are the ones you find at the tracks. I really didn't answer your question, sorry, but I wish you the best with your choice.

Or you could be like me and have LHS's that only stock T-Maxx stuff, and a few odds and ends that you never need until they are out of stock.

My LHS orders from Horizon for all their stuff anyways, and it takes them a lot longer to get the parts then it would if I purchased directly. Plus it's more expensive.

In the end, if you can order parts online from Horizon or another company and get stuff in a couple days, it's not a big deal. It's what I have to do. Each time I order from Horizon, I like to add a little something that I might need in the future like washers and stuff. That way I won't be out of order waiting for shipping because of some really silly little thing, only the big crashes.

i have the xtm deluxe, and compared to my storm pro it does not handle as well....and does not feel as refined in overall driving. but for bashing i very highly recomend it, the deluxe comes with a reliable, powerful engine, and can take ALOT of abuse....youll have to see for yourself what i mean by alot of abuse....push the xtm hard and itll ask for more. one thing is you will havto do a brace mod for the rear gear tabs. BTW for 100$ more than the regular xtm it is definatly worth it.

I would have to say an 8. I only think that because there are better bugggies out there. But it is a really nice buggy. I was gonnna get one but i got the hb lightning........Nick
