Well, looks to me that you Kyosho mounting is built into the engine and very far forward towards the clutch bell. The XTM motor mount (which you will have to come up with) is located towards the back of the engine so you will probably have to drill the frame to fit the XTM mount. And you will have to drill it so you can move it around a little to be able to adjust you gear mesh.

Sounds do-able to me, are there any motors that could be a direct swap?

I think that Kyosho is the only one that makes that type of mount. And you also need take a look at the motor shafts because both are different and your Kyosho clutch bell is not going to fit the XTM shaft.

I’m pretty sure all the Kyosho Inferno series use a standard engine mount? and just about any BB engine can be installed with little alteration.
Have a look at the mount setup, if its bolted to the engine you should be able to fit most anything. If not you should be able to fit almost anything with a few mods.

If you look closely at this pic, you'll see what appears to be an engine mount outline on the two plates. If it's a factory offered accessory, hopefully you can add whatever engine you want with little or no modification. The four oddball screw holes in the center are for the GX21 engine.

So basically i just need to drill 8 holes for the mount? From it being pushed back, isn't the spur gear not going to line up anymore?

Would i be able to align the mesh correctly since the engine is being moved back a little?

If you're chassis has the same hole pattern as the pic in post # 7 it is capable of using a standard engine mount with just about any BB engine and the GX.21 with the mount built into the crankcase.
The forward and narrow holes are for the GX.21/built in mounts (the built in mounts are more forwad on the engine crankcase), the rearward wider set holes are for a standard engine mount, the shims you see in the pic keep the bottom of the engine from hitting the chassis, depending on which mount you use you may or may not need the shims.
I didn’t have the Sport version but my chassis was like the one in the pic and I could mount just about any engine without issues with spur/clutch bell mesh.

Its not the engine being moved back, just the engine mounts. That GX21 engine is the only engine I've ever seen with a mount located under the front engine bearings.
This is a much more common engine / engine mount design.
