What mill are you going to run on that Eddy? I run a OS MAX VZB with the JP-1, and somtimes think about trying the JP-2. You had it right 1 is low-mid, and 2 is mid-high. I guess its all personal preferance, and the track you run on. I just want to try out differant pipes to see the differance.

By the way, the new ride is looking good.

Here is a Pict with Body: I'm running a RB WS7II with JP-1 Pipe---should be a screamer

LOOKIN GOOD!
Great choice of colors on the body. Were going to have to have an exclusive XB8 RCNT Bash this summer.....

Hyped,
I'm running the exact same setup OS MAX VZB with about 1.5 gallons in her, and a JP-1.

I have been running a Dynamite pipe on it and have had great low end. It just lacked a bit in the mids. I'm hoping to trade a bit of the low for some midrange. IMO with the lighter weight of the XB8 as compared to my Storm Pro I can try and trade some of the grunt for a little quick speed. Most of the places I have to run this time of year are small.

Did I hear right? The XB8 comes with a battery pack? What other oddball goodies do they include, besides the Hudy tools?

Battery Pack, lots of additional tuning parts, extra set of springs, Wheel wrench, and more.

The Huddy tools were a nice touch but I don't much care for them. I broke one off in a screw head right off the bat and the shafts are WAY to long on a few of them. Using them felt like flipping pancakes with a 6 foot spatula. The fit on the hexes are perfect, better than any other set I have used. Its a matter of preference.

funny you dont like the wrenches, I've pretty much stopped using my dynamites since i got the hudys. only time i get out a dynamite wrench these days is if i need a shorter wrench for tighter work, or if i need an english size.

the JP-1 pipe should do very well on your VZ-B, i have one that i use on my vspec and it has a lot of low end punch. if you want some more zip, try out an 086 pipe. i never really noticed a loss of low end power with it, however i did pick up some extra top end.

corrado i gotto admit the vz-b has got a absolute tone of low end (for an os) dont tell anyone i said that :)

i got an omega 069 pipe i tired with my v spec...its pretty good on low and has good mid.....not sure of top end compared to other pipes but it does seem to just keep pulling and pulling....i want a jp1 pipe if anyone has one to sell...i may just goto ebay for one....lmk

corradopsi have you seen the price on the p5 that pdl has lately....omg they are cheap...lol

yeah yeah, i know. big discussion about it on the grid. i bought mine last week at 220. oh well still a good deal.

fyi, the jp-1 is based on the 069. you wont really notice a difference other than durability.

Why is the price going down so fast.
Did a truck drop a case of them in his garage in the middle of the night?

nobody on the grid knows why he blew them out so low. the last batch went for $187 each. which is below dealer cost. PDL (mike) went through over 70 P5 engines in the last 2-3 weeks alone. people are suspecting he's either really hard up for cash in an emergency, going out of buisness, or there is a rumor of a P6 coming out that he may be gearing up to get a lot of. nobody knows just yet what the deal was. but everyone is happy they got really nice motors really cheap. even with what i paid for mine. if i want to, i can sell it a few months down the road for profit.

All of these parts should be universal from one buggy to another, but you may have to rearrange/add/take away(if you currently have two or more in any one place) the shims behind the flywheel, and inside/outside the clutchbell to get the gears to line up correctly.

Wha, Wha, What!

The low end is why I chose the VZ-B in the first place. When ever I'm running on a small track it never fails to have someone come over and ask what mill I have. I have always used the Dynamite pipe on it and am hoping the JP-1 will give me a bit more in the middle.

Have I ever mentioned I'm about the worse driver on the face of the earth?
Its like the 450 lb dude with Skinny written on his boweling shirt. My nickname has been well earned over the years and I have several 3rd place plackards to prove it.

yes use the stock clutch with the optional 1.0 springs in the kit

i dont know, I've never had to change the bell on mine.

the grid is easiest to read in "ablone" click offroad confrences. then I'm usually in the XB8, OS engines, Novarossi engines, central pa racers, pictures, and for sale threads

Corrado Whats a vzb-prospec go for in the states, just trying to work out if it would be cheaper to buy it from the states while your dollar is so low against ours .70$us to NZ$1 we get the vzb for 450NZ

vbgagnon said:
All places list it for $299. If you call some places they will give it cheaper.
works out about 420nzl and then still got freight sounds like there about the same amount :( bummer

call around over here if you can mike, there are plenty of places that will give it to you for 275ish if you call up. just like any product, there are caps as to what a retailer is allowed to list a product at. 299 seems to be the cap on the vspec. just like everywhere you look over here, the XB8 is listed at 650, but we all know darn well if you call around those same places will sell it as low as 600.
