Wanted to put up some updates on the XO Maxx. Right now its full flm including 1/8 scale riffs, the only stock parts are the bumpers skids and servos.
Yep you read it right 297 mph theoretically. How you ask? Well I used a calculator that takes into account all the gear ratios throughout the truck motor rpm voltage and tire size. Where I am able to get to that number is I had an adaptor made that let's me run spur gears as pinions. Quick math 1650kv x 25.2 = 41580 motor rpm. My gearing is 22/72 so divide that and you get .305 which means my pinion gear only turn 1/3 of a revolution to make the spur turn once. I rolled the truck for one spur revolution its dead on. So you multiply the motor rpm x 3 because that's how fast the spur will be turning and you 124740 which is the transmission rpm. Now all that being said 72/22 causes major motor cogging so I had to come down some. Right now I'm at 29/52 and it does ok. Barely any trigger pull and the truck is moving pretty good. According to the calculator that gearing should be at 187 so I would think I could feasibly get the truck to 120 with no problem.
I may have the fastest emaxx ever made
dont bash me guys I know those speeds are only theoretical but I think I've done something no one else has mainly with the gearing. Anyway here are some pics of the progress take a good look at the gears if you don't believe me. The link to the calculator is below
