Xo-1 esc

I got an xo-1 esc to put in my erbe, and i am trying to figure out how to "unlock" it without having to do the whole tqi/ipod thing, I've seen on youtube how to do it with out the ipod but everyone that did it still had the trx transmitter and reciever, i'm using a spektrum setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated because i would like to be able to use the full potential of the esc.

Have you tried a Castle Link? I remember reading that the ESC was made for Traxxas by Castle Creations.

I am waiting for my castle link to come in from tower, but i will definitely check settings in that. Thank you
