Well, what ever the sizes I have a tool kit with plenty of sizes so I think I'll be ok. Thanks for the help. Anything else I will need for the buggy??

ARO if you don't have any, air filter oil, maybe some spare wheel nuts (17mm) and some spare body clips. i can't really think of anything else you would need. just so you know though, the pull-start is pretty weak, so after a while you WILL break it. my suggestion is to get a starter box. i just used mine for the 1st time today and it is SO much better then pull-start. no more blisters, and i was getting so many all the time, my mom was getting pissed at me lol :D

Yeah, a starter box is one of the things on my "to buy" list, that along with a good radio. I have after run oil and air filter oil and some body clips but I don't know if they are the right size (they are for my HPI RS4 3). Well I talked my parents into letting me order it tomarro so it will get here by my birthday (hopefully) so i'll let you know how it goes.

Yeah but I haven't heard too many great things about rotostart, I think a starter box would be more reliable.

the body clips *i think* are different since the x-t uses some wierd body clips. a bent one in the front so you can pull it out easier and for the back since there's 2 body mounts it's like a "double" body clip.

Ok thanks for your help everyone!! I'll post if I have anymore questions.

I just ordered my new X-Terminator off Hobby People!! I can't wait till it gets here.

awesome!! don't forget to put fuel in the tank when breaking-in. it is essential to the life and performance of the engine. lol

I think I'll try breaking it in with water, I don't feel like using nitro fuel, its too expensive. :jk: The UPS man should be by my house on the 25th according to the tracking thingy. I went online and found the manuel for it and the breakin looks very easy. You only have to let it idle for 1 minute before you can start driving it(slowly). My savage you had to idle through 160cc of fuel and just rev it up for another tank and then you could start to slowly drive it around. Anyway, thanks for the help and i'll let ya know when it arrives :)

awesome. about the water, meh, you can use it i'm pretty sure, but the engine will be running pretty sluggish, while the nitro will give you the kick in the pants performance. :p

Yea, i think i'll use water, i don't really want to get performance out of my engines. I like it when they run like crap(cause the always do):)

Speed?

Completely stock, how fast does the X-Terminator go for top speed? I know they aren't geard for max speed but how fast does it go?

Also, where can I find a bigger heatsink for the 24.7? It looks like I'll be needing one...

did u get the deluxe or the other they run around 45 mph and it gets there fast only thing it has chassies flex so I'm about to put a pro chassies on it if u got the regular one its dont flex as bad so i hope u have fun with your new buggy i know i have

I got the regular model, but 45 mph is very good for a single speed. So does anybody think I will need a better heatsink? If so, what one and where can I find it?

mine hits somewhere around 40-42 mph. keep in mind though that all the upgrades the deluxe has also add weight to it. the standard should be a touch faster. maybe 45 mph

you can get a a head on novarcproducts.net or you can get a crazy nut racing i think or just the xtm brand head works really good but i highly suggest that u chang it b/c that small head makes the engine run hot as hell

yep. getting that big head should be the 1st upgrade on your list. i'd get the xtm head just cuz it's made by xtm so you know it works well, and because it really is a huge head-most aftermarket heads aren't that big!!

Where can I get the XTM one, does Hobby People have it? I searched for it but I can't find it, can u post a link please? Thanks!
