X-Term question.......

X-term body is the only one without doing some hacking to it.
They do sell a clear body though.

Hey NitroBuzzard,

I went through the same thing this summer. I wanted to do a custom lid for my XTerm and ran into the same problem, where to find a lid. I wanted a crowd pleaser so I looked at Proline's site and found nothing. So I emailed them and asked them if they had something that would fit the Xterm and they replied back that they had nothing aftermarket that would fit. My lhs said I could use the crowd pleaser for the mugen but I would have to hack the crap out of it and I just didn't want to spend 25 bucks to just hack it up. Then I emailed Global directly and got the same response. So I had to order another clear body from them and painted it up. Stinks that there is not much hop up parts for the Xterm, it is one hell of a capable buggy. In fact I do not see any advertisements for it anymore. Does Global still make the Xterm? Anyway I just wanted to share my bit on the subject. Once you are done with the body, post some pics man... I love my XTerm.

Tom

Hey Guys,

No sooner than I posted my last response I got news that sometime in January Global is set to release its X-Terminator 2. It is going to come out initially as an RTR but a pro version may be in the works. It is supposed to combine the best from the Pro and RTR versions as well as some of the aspects of the Mammoth ST. Global is trying to market it as competition for the mugen and Kyosho stuff although in an RTR I doubt it will be, but still the XTerm is a good all around buggy, and a very capable racer. We shall see. There is not to much on XTM's site yet on the 2, and no price quoted yet. I actually just got off the phone with my LHS and he had just gotten off the phone with Global. He said he has two coming in sometime in January. So hopefully we will get some more info in the days and weeks to come. I just wanted to post this info just in case some folks cared. Take care all.

Guess I'll have to just order a clear lid from global.........kinda figured I would have to do that but thought I'd give it a shot anyways.........lol........as far as the X2, I'm really curious about that myself...mines been a good basher but hopefully the X2 will correct the push the original has. I've tried to work it out using different oils and its helped alot but still its there...........can't wait to get an X2 and try it.....LOL.........

Not any info. $370. And I think it is due out in Febuary. Several parts off the original and some from the ST, no word on what else has been added.

Seems like me and Tom are about the only ones left on the site that have one anymore. Glad to see some others that like it.

Glad to see you on Tom. Haven't seen ya for a bit. Are you working up for the big day? May, right? Good luck to ya bro.

Hey Dig,

Yeah, working on getting all the contracts signed and the deposits made. You are right, May 11th is the day. Who would have guessed saying I love you would cost so much? LOL Now that everything has been signed lined up and at least deposits made I should be able to sleep a bit better, and get online more. I miss being able to talk with you guys. Planning a wedding is alot of work, and I had to pick a woman who wants me to be involved with the planning. :o) I would rather have her do all the planning and picking out of invitations. Just tell me where to be and what time to be there. That would work for me. Thanks for the luck, I am going to need it! The soon to be Judge, Jury, and executioner just informed me that she wants us to write our own vows. Joy! Don't think I will get away with telling her how happy I was when she bought me my TMaxx... LOL

Anyway back to the thread at hand. I am going to take a look at the new Xterm as soon as it shows up on the shelves. I may wait to see if they come out with a kit version, or the 80% build like my current XTerm was. Either way it should be a great buggy. XTM is very underated in the RC world. So a big BUMP for X Terminator! Hey Dig, I think you are right, you and I must be the only two left running the XTerm. Oh well, more parts for us!
