WTF!!! Is my tuning out of wack or what?? Good low end and mid but as soon as it gets to the higher end of the rpm is starts running like crap! comes to a stop and can't even pull itself, what's the deal with this? This is at full throttle, if I go at only 1/2 throttle runs ok, but if I open it up it goes to the crapper!

LOL kinda hard to describe it, soundds like it bogs out on the high rpm and looses all power, at a dead stop if I nail it, it lauches just fine but as soon as it gets in the high rpm range it looses all power and won't even pull itself, same way if you hold it off the ground and open it up

Also the current temp outside is 28 with a windchill of 19 if that would have anything to do with things.........

If nothing else what is the correct factory settigns for the HSN & LSN for the Savage 25, I've heard that the specs in the book are inaccurate. I can try to get it back in tune from there I guess if it's a tunning issue :flaming:

OK i have reset my LSN (3 turns from closed) & HSN (3.5 turns from closed), hopefully this will be a happy setting to get started with, but it's kinda late to go outside and try tonight, maybe tomorrow, but I think the cold temps are going to make it more difficult, maybe I should wait till monday and take it to work and try it in the shop. Do you guys agree with these settings or do I need to open or close either one a bit?

I know this sounds reatarded but it happen to me once and I was having the same problem with my savage, it turned out I never reconnected the tube from the pipe to the gas tank and it was causign it to not get any gas after it started going a ways. just a thought, sometimes the simply things are not the most obvious,.

Ajeauxdn, no that doesn't sound retarded, you are right about the simple things not being the most obvious, but I did double check to see if the lines were all in place and even checked for leaks........I actually put all new fuel line on it Friday night. I wish I couyld take it outside right now and try to get it in tune, but it's way cold right now, (16 with windchill of -5, bbbrrrrrrrr). It was doing fine for a little while yesterday and I was concerned that with the cold temps I might need to richen up the HSN, so I adjusted it about 1/4 turn adn ran fine for a little longer then started going down hill, then like an idiot I tried to adjust the LSN 1/8 turn to compensate and from there it just got worse and worse...........seems grasshopper still has much to learn!

i kinda have the same probly. My car idles good, goig slow its good, but as soon as i go full throttle, it acts very sluggish and sometimes shuts off. What was wrong was the low speewd nedle wasn't set right.
