Practiced with my buddy Friday morning (85F) - ran 5 tanks of fuel, straight, and did not have one flame out. Thought I had the Tune down?...
Arrived at the track at 1100 on Saturday for 1300 start. Ran a tank of fuel during practice, no engine problems (95F):

Had flame outs in Qual 1 (4/3:56.629). Changed the Glow-Plug (tried P4 vs. P3).
It wasn't the Glow-Plug, had more flame-outs in Q2 (4/4:06.400). Did much carb tuning and asphalt testing, went richer on HSN, leaned LSN, and bumped idle speed a smidge. It would idle for a minute and a half and still have good throttle response, thought I had it figured out.
Actually finished Qual 3 without a Flameout (7/5:09.727)! It was running rich, but at least it didn't flame-out this time.
Made it through the first half of the B-main but had a flame-out when I came in for pit/fuel, then more after I went out on the track (7/6:52.382).
Fastest lap of the day was 40.099 seconds in Q3.
I'm running too rich, so will lean out HSN, do more testing/tuning, and use the temp gun this time. Will try to practice on Friday but probably taking this Saturday off (supposed to rain anyway?). One of these days I'll figure out how to tune that engine!
