Those two screws that hold your pads and shoes keep coming loose and then it makes me have no brakes. So what i did is took out the two screws, put jb weld on the threads and screwed them back in. Has anyone had this problem before? The brakes I'm using is the dual stainless steel ones.

I tried loctite before and it let loose. See if the jb holds

I don't think epoxy needs air to dry. That's the point of the two parts. It's a chemical reaction that usually generates heat and cures it.

Regardless, it sounds like you should pick up a new trans case and quit fighting it. Just put a drop of CA on the screws before screwing them into the new case to avoid having them loosen up.

Its gonna sound ''cheap'', but got 2 save up somehow:\. But really worked for me.

I just sliced a piece of plastic, long but not too long, from any ramdom parts u got hangin around, for me it was a slice from a Savage's front bumper...put the piece in the screw hole and screwed it back up. have not backed up since...Just my :2cents:.

I guess I am not the only one who does that then. I will do that and a drop of CA in the hole with the extra plastic...let it dry a tiny bit then put the screw back in. Always works for me. Not I would not say that is "cheap" but lets say....economical...it sounds better. But what ever you call it...It works pretty well and saves a trip to the hobby store which NEVER ends up a quick easy trip.....

i think i got it fixed up for now. Now to do the same to my brothers. I'm thinking about getting somthing thats a better quality build like a nice truggy or somthing.Mugen, xray or somthing better. This savage takes a beating but lately I'm fixing more than i drive, which sucks!

well, i just bought a new savage 4.6 and i have to admit the brakes on my t-maxx 3.3 are much better. Is there anything that i can do to improve my savage 4.6's brakes? any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'd just got rid of my savage and got a mbx5t truggy, what a difference!! It's alotmorr durable, accelerates twice as fast, way more stability, I tried to flip it and it's harder than u think. It handeles like an onroad, and jumps very very well! I'm glad I switched, I was fixing my savage every timei went out. If been out 5 times with my mbx5t and no Issues.

Short of adjusting them and going with the OFNA slider/fuel tube on the linkage, about all you can do is put in a stronger servo.

I run a strong servo but it's due to how it's made, not necessarily for the strength. It's sealed on the output shaft with an o-ring and o-rings everywhere else on the case. I run one in both my MT's so I don't have to worry as much in the winter. 172oz of torque stops both my savage and aftershock pretty much when I want it to.
