My closest race from 90s to 2013 or so was a county up. They moved like 3 counties over. 🙁

The Barn Raceway 1/8 off-road in Barnesville…

I’m sure like most tracks, its membership, or pay to play.. So membership, and you’re good for a year, or pay a non-member fee to practice, or race.. that’s pretty standard.. 🍻🤘

Yeah I guess I wish there were some a little closer to me lol...

Barnsville is about an hour and a half from where I live. Doable, just not ideal. I know, cry me a river lol

I can carve out the time...I make the 50-minute run up to my gun club regularly on an early Saturday/Sunday morning to spend the day...track time would be no different...just need to find some good/open ones, I guess. My little, short track in the back yard scratches my itch, but not nearly enough...lol

Man-I feel you… A decent race day smokes almost an entire day of your well earned weekend.. Couple that with a few hours drive time, round trip, and it’s a tough pill to swallow..

I have a killer track an hour east of me, and another an hour west.. Both 1/8 offroad, and one also has a killer indoor off-road onsite as well.. And of course; both “Carolina” red clay..

I pray to the RC gods to someday race on some southern clay

Don't sweat it man. I live 20 minutes from a track and still can't find time to race 😂

It IS all it’s cracked up to be, I can tell ya lol.. I finally get into a house with some decent enough land to toss a pretty good sized 1/8 off-road track in the backyard, and it’s some weirdo, black dirt… FML… Only place in NC (aside from the beach) I’ve lived that wasn't clay.. Track is being built ANYHOW. 😎 I just won’t be buying as many tires! 🤣🤩🤘

Any dirt is good dirt! ESPECIALLY if it's in your backyard!

Our track in STL is right off the river so there's a good amount of sand in the dirt. If kept wet it'll groove really well but once it dries it it's like driving on polished concrete and I dig it. Will never forget my first race, practicing for two months on the dust just to show up for a nice prepped track 😂

Can you not bring clay in?
I CAN, but it gets expensive quick.. And unfortunately-it’s a crapshoot on how “dirty” it is with rocks… I’d rather have this black weirdo shiit, than constantly sifting, and picking out rocks.. Been here before a few times..😅
