Greatest city in the world. Hands down. Unfortunately, it's the bad stories that people judge it by. For every bad story you've heard, there are thousands of great tales you haven't heard.

Chicago is first on my 'least faves' list.
Yeah... it doesn't get me all rev'd up either. Fortunately, I work in the burbs and live 60+ miles away from the city.

and I thought I had it bad when it takes me more than 30 minutes to get to work. I guess I'm just a spoiled rural guy in the biggest "city" in Montana.

As far as getting around in a city you're not familiar with, D.C. is the absolute WORST! Quadrants! That means 4 sides with the same street names, like 26th St. NW, or SE, or whatever. Making that even worse is the big intersections of 5 streets instead of 4. Pitiful planning for all the tourists who come from elsewhere, but it's to be expected. That's where the government is, so why should ANYTHING be done right...or be easy.
