Time to perform some winter maintenance magic on my Ruckus! This involves complete disassembly, cleaning everything, oiling bearings, replacing anything that may be broken, and then putting it all back together. I don't enjoy the cleaning part, but the finished result is a car that runs better and looks nicer.

Wow that Ruckus is used. I have a 2012 ruckus but I burned up the 15t motor and have not purchased another to put in.

Yeah, I have put it through hell. When I first got it I was uneducated and went through 2 motors and 3 NiMh batteries in 3 years. Thank the Lord for my local hobby store and their wealth of knowledge.

Update: so far I have everything removed from the body, and I will be cleaning that today. I also have to disassemble the differentials, and buy oil for them. They also need grease for the housing. I've got a plastic bin that snaps shut for small parts, and my preferred tool set is iFixit.

Got a few parts cleaned up yesterday, planning to clean the chassis today. Put new bearings in everything, and one of my diffs was shot so I resurrected it using parts from another broken one. New wheel hexes on the way, these ones will be metal. Also, these pictures were taken at 9pm because I was bored and didn't want to watch TV.

We did it! I needed to reset my servo endpoints, so I just finished that up. Gonna try and find a time to hit the track for some practice. Praise be to @WickedFog and @Tunedfrog for saving my butt! (And my servo!) I will try to get a video of it on my YouTube channel soon. I'm also going to be building a few portable jumps.
