Thays awesome! Where did you get the skids? I've never seen those
these are the rears and they're bolt in.
these are the fronts and you have to drill 2 holes in the chassis (middle of the chassis) and use a longer screw and nut to hold it in place.

there is a fifth hole that mounts the middle of the skids to the chassis that i didn't use. i can't remember if it's front or rear, researching it i found that it makes them to ridged and can rip the screw out of the chassis. and the other has a chassis brace/webbing in the way, if you wanted to use it you'd have to cut part of the chassis out.

I see, I see. Thanks for the info!
I've wondered in the past how close the slash skids were but kinda forgot all about it. One of my boys has a stampede and ill definitely pick a set up for it. I really like that.

That came out really nice!

Have you ever considered an Emaxx for a winter basher? I heard Amain is blowing them out cheap. 🤣 🤣🤣
🤣 no. and i looked, Amain doesn't sell them anymore. so I'm safe. no living nightmares for me 🤣

I could barely tell what model/make this was underneath until I saw the bumper.

You've both made a nice looking basher and proven that these 2wd (removed) models are huge money pits if you want them to drive well.

If you think a 2wd traxxas is a money pit upgrade you obviously havnt built many rigs.
You can replace every suspension part and hinge pin with rpm and strc pins and still be under 100 bucks...

You dont even need all that for them to be reliable.... literally just the hubs and your set.

it did a thing yesterday.
its slightly over geared, jumps ass heavy as all hell (i have sense added some preload to the rear shocks), and doesn't like to keep the front tires on the ground, but it runs. now bring on the winter and rain so i can use it for its intended purpose

it's a 4 pole motor. wondering if that's what i was feeling/seeing in the video. it's very drag brake-ish. gearing is 24/87 and the motor was HOT after less than 10 minutes. have a 20 and 21t on order, we'll see what happens with that.
