I'm getting a Turnigy MAX80W 7A Lithium Polymer Battery Charger, i have this Dell power pack which was off an old lappy. the only problem i think i have is its 18A, is that ok? I'm pretty sure that the charger will restrict that and only use what i tell it to through the charger.

here is my work anyway. i plan to cut the alligator clips off and solder the other end of the molex plug on so that there is no chance of sparks flying.

can anyone confirm that 18A isnt too much for the charger?

or is more amps better? from what I'm reading up to 50amps are optimal? so 18 should do the job? anyone know?

A single 80W charger shoudl be able to run off of that power supply. I would monitor it to make sure the wires and the converter block itself dont get too hot. I'm fairly confident that it will be fine.
