Will this engine fit in my RS4

It fits in the old RS4 Nitro MT. I had installed one in mine a year or two ago, but mine had a standard crankshaft. That one appears to be a short shaft... I don't remember the truck clutch setup well enough to know if that will work though.

I had used these engine mounts with it:http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXN373&P=ML

It will fit. Just need to consider 2 things. Olds mentioned 1. You'll need aftermarket engine mounts. You can use the ones he pointed out. Or I used these...

Second, the engine you listed has a slide carb. More than likely if you have an original RS4 with the .15 FE, it's a rotary carb. So you'll need to find the slide conversion kit.
Got it right here...

Ok so with those 2 parts it would work, He mentioned the crankshaft will that work in this case?

Well, you could just buy a new OS 18. This is the one I used: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGGP7&P=ML

With those engine mounts, I was able to drop it right in. I really wish I could tell you for sure if a short crank would work. It's just been way too long since I had mine to remember if I "had" to have the standard length crank.

Which RS4 is it? They have about 15 of them listed on HPI's website.

Is it this one?: http://www.hpiracing.com/instructions/instruct-n2.htm

Look at the cover page image.

The engine in that one looks like a standard crank shaft according to the photo's.
