why do i see alot of people selling there nitros for electrics?

Easier to run and maintain? Less hassle? No idea, personally I run both and I love both, I use my Arrma Raider for bashing on my street and use my Nitro's when I go bash away from houses. Personally I love both, however, nothing in this world will beat the sound and smell of a nitro truck whizzing by at top speed :)

Plug and play my friend, with people being so busy Nitros just can't compete with the ease of electrics. Plus with the Brushless motors and Lipo batteries, nitro can't compete with the performance either. I will ALWAYS have nitro rigs but I did like the ease of my electric (before it smoked), I could come home and just throw the battery in and run it without having to worry about tuning.

very true points.... I've got both also and i do like the fact i can just throw a battery in and go but stock stampede vs stock tmaxx i like the max :P

caust of nitro gas to a charger (ele is more caust worthy) however i love nitro I'm not a fan of ele

Our society is changing from where we would pull apart something to fix it to where we now send it in to get repaired. Basically going from a DIY TO DIFM. So for some it comes down to less hassle and less maintenance. Just plug and play. I personally have a fleet of 2 electrics, 1 large scale and 7 nitro. I have variety when it comes down to what I want to run

more and more electric now compared to nitro

you buy a battery for 30-40 dollars and it last a long time

you buy a gallon of nitro 30-40 dollars itdoes not last very long

i have both

whats going to happen when we start seeing more 2 stoke
hpi is supposed to come out with a bunch of engine

fuel and oil maybe 5-6 bucks a gallon versus 30-40 bucks for nito

do the math

I like both. My MT's are nitro and my buggy is electric. I've been using the buggy more, only because its new (I hope, lol)

I only have nitro and plan to one day try electric just for the speed of brushless now. But i will ever get tired of the sound of a nitro engine and the fact that when the tank is empty just fill er up and keep bashing. No 1-2 hour charge time between runs. Although when i do get an electric i will stockpile battery packs as well so i can bash longer then 15 mins.

I use both, but prefer electric for the lack of excess noise and the mess of cleaning the oil off the rig after running.

I'm able to get my nitro for 16$ a gallon :D..so its not to bad ...i used to pay 38$$ i found that a bit to expensive to run ....next step will be that HPI 1/8 gas engine when it comes out :D

technicality nitro engines are 2 stroke,2 stroke just means there's oil mixed in the fuel so the piston only has to make 2 (strokes) to make a revolution,4 strokes make 4 strokes every revolution because the oil is stored in a different compartment of the engine, but yes your right HPI is working on a GASOLINE engine that will also be 2 stroke and will amazingly cheaper to run than nitro and its made to fit stasndard big block sized engine mounts!

Most of the people that dont agree that electric is better, here it comes, are newbs to the hobby OR very close minded. Other than the cost of electric being cheaper to run and maintain, a NICE electric setup (brushless+high voltage lipo) will vastly out do the performance of most nitro setups. Instant power, basically instant top speed too. Does this mean nitro's are lame, no, not to most guys, to me, yes, but they have and probably will always have their place in rc's. But electric will continue to dominate.

I have put a brushless setup in my Raider and with my Lipo's it blows the doors off my Savage and Revo. However nothing can compare to the smell and sound of a tuned nitro :)

That seems to always be the main appeal to someone who runs both, the sound and smell of a nitro. I actually prefer the almost soundless rigs but thats just personal preference.

I own both and i do love my nitro because they are much more realistic and they are more challanging. However I find myself gravitating to my electrics a little more than my nitros just because they do tend to be easier and alot of the time I dont have much time. however my nitro is only about $24 a gallon so I still run them when I have the extra time to mess with them.

I have always been a nitro guy always will be.
I like how far electric has come,. you just throw some batteries on and pop a motor in, no maintenance and you're done, no noise, no smoke, no tuning..

which is EXACTLY why I love nitro lol
There is more skill involved, it's harder to go faster, can't beat the sound/smell experience of driving a nitro car. Electric cars remind me too much of what I can pick up in toy-r-us is all :P

Electrics can be faster in MOST peoples hands, that's true indeed.
But you just can't beat nitro for the experience, tinkering, tuning etc...
Having a little car with a tiny internal combustion engine revving it's brains out is awesome!

Nitro is so much more fun to drive IMO. Just the loudness of the engine and the exhaust, you can feel the power you have at your fingertips!! Love nitro.

I love both, but nitro for sure more. Just turning peoples heads with the rip of a 3.3 or w/e makes you feel special as they eventually wonder over to you and watch you drive:hehe:

Electric on the other hand is for when my nitro is broken or out of fuel. Or just to lazy to tinker on the nitro, just plug n go!

Before brushless, things were completely different. Now with motors pulling more power than their nitro counterparts, and their prices are withing a decent range comparitively to nitro. The only real reason to run nitro is if you enjoy working on them. With electric, you can get everything plug and play, and pull faster speeds and times with it out of the box than you would ever with a nitro. Also if you have decent experience with a soldering iron you can really go all out. just my 2cents
