When I had my slash I always wondered why us the 2.2 3.0 offset rims can someone tell me why they did this does it serve a real porpuse or just for kicks ?

Traxxas originally made the 2wd slash in a 2.2 setup, so the first run of slashes used 2.2's. Then they started prototyping a 4wd slash. The 2.2 wheel on the 4wd slash couldn't clear the front hubs. Traxxas had that in mind and just made a 2.2/3.0 wheel. The 2.2 outside looks scale. The 3.0 clears hubs on the 4wd and buggies as well. The other companies just adopted what traxxas did.

Ahh ok I understand I was just wondered if it was for tire roll but that make lots of sence thanks man
