I used up 2 throttle/brake servos in 2 days on the Cybermax during break in.
One was a Traxxas 2055,the other a tower pro 1052 I think. Gears seem fine, seems like the motors stop working.

Alsom the C clip keeps falling off the clutch bell. Any thoughts?

This will be a fun truck if I can work the gremlins out.

I would hazard a guess at your endpoints being set too far. Reduce the EPA setting until it barely pulls full throttle/brake.

Yeah, the engine inside is probably trying to pull the throttle link further. It could also be that water went through the casing.

Thanks for the input.
I was going to install my spectrum gear on this truck also anyway so then I will be able to adjust the end points right?

If this solves the problem I will buy a decent matal gear servo for the t/b.

I have a JR 9100S on my one Revo and that is probably overkill. Any suggestions on torque & speed requirement minimums ?

and servos meeting these with metal gears?
When I say minimum I mean I already blew the budget on this (sweet pc) so I do want something worthy just don't want to spend more to be cool.

Dah ,Thanks Olds .I should read before I speak.Anyone have any other recommendations?

I find that just like steering the faster the better. I ran a 94357 on my revo and liked it. Strong but super fast.

Just a side note, I don't like using digital servos for t/b control due to the constant need to push them to their dead stop position when braking. It may be fine to do, but I didn't care for the sound the servo made when I had one on my aftershock for t/b.

Like I said, I could be totally off base here. After reading all the people running digital servos warnings about making sure your EPA's are set specifically short of the mechanical limit for steering (so the servo isn't over stressed), I bought another hitec 985MG (non-digital high torque coreless) and use it for my t/b on my aftershock. It doesn't sound nearly as non-happy as the JR digital I used for a day.

I put the JR digital in my jammin buggy for t/b duties... it also has a 985MG for t/b. I really like those 985MG servos so far. Sealed, smooth, fast and strong all for about $70.
