Who owns one of these babies?? I just picked one up at my LHS for 250 out the door. It seems like a nicely built rig. The radio it came with is cheap and will be yanked for something better. What was this rig built for?? Is this a buget racing rig or a basher. It has been over ten years since I have raced and am out of the loop...not evan sure if there is a place to race in my local area!!!! What do you think of the Force .26?? Any known areas that should be beefed right from the git?? Thanks for you help!! DF

It's just outdated, it'll be fun to get back in the hobby with though. I have a lot of parts and such that will fit it that I do not use. PM me if interested.
The Force .26 is a pretty boring engine powerwise, but it will run reliably for a while.

Thanks Scrogg, Was it designed to be an entry lvl racer or basher? Runs plenty fast for this old guy!! DF

I have an Ultra MBX. Love it actually. Granted I'm still fairly new to the hobby, but the Force 26 seems to rip pretty well once I got it tuned? Hmm.....course I haven't tried any others. lol My first race should be the 18th...so we'll see how she does.

Moto please discribe your motor break in system, ie.. how many tanks b4 u started ripping it. How long was it till u got a reliable idle? Stuff like that. I had it in the dirt yesterday...ripped both front tire from the rims??? Have u had this problem?? I agree with u on that it is very fast. I am not sure why anyone would want more top end...it could use a little more snap on the bottom. I will make clutch plates my firs t mod. This is not my first nitro car but it is my first 1/8 scale. Df:D

Scrogg....pm sent...Df

I got the Buggy when the motor had 4 tanks on it already so the major break in was already done. I just ran a few more easy tanks through it and then started tuning. At the 4 tank mark, it was already idling perfectly fine for me. As far as tires go...did you glue them? I have a pre-mounted set of Badlands on star rims. Here is a link to the pics of my OFNA: http://picasaweb.google.com/spouliot/OFNAUltraMBX#

Moto, The tires were pre glued...I re-glued them last night with CA...they should be fine. I have to say that I agree with u...I love this buggy...prolly not the best racer but it scoots fine enough for me. Df

Nice rigs funk! I ran another tank through the OFNA this weekend and once again...no problems. Even let my wife drive it...and she barrel rolled it around corners at least 5 or 6 times....still no damage. lol Those damn badlands tires grip too well in grass. Car flips over if you turn too hard on the gas. lol

What part of the world are you located Moto? Df Duh NC sorry just noticed its on the left side of our posts!!

They are fun buggies. upgrade the clutch(as you said) and get a JP-1 pipe for it. Mine ran GREAT on it, improved the bottom end, and didnt drop the top too much. I ran mine(truggy conversion) at a local track. Very tight, small track and the JP-1 made a HUGE improvement.Mine tended to run HOT, 270ish in race tune, but I had a good smoke trail so it was no real worry. Ran OD99 plugs.
If your just club racing, there is nothing wrong with using this buggy. Parts are cheap on ebay. I would upgrade the radio and servos, and get a hump pack as well. Find out what tires work at the track(if you want to race) and replace those too.

I went with a Spektrum DX3 Radio setup, and I have upgraded JR Servos in mine as well. No JP-1 pipe though...maybe I'll look into one. I hear good things about them. I do still need to order a hump pack for it though. I just need to figure out which one will fit.

I have the Z590M for Steering. It's fast, and pretty powerful ;-)

85 oz/in at 6V (.15 sec at 60 deg), and 70 oz/in at 4.8V (.18 at 60 deg)
