Does the gray go to the white? I have an injora fat viper attaching to this receiver.

Yes, white and grey are both signal wires

How about this one, is the signal the Orange or brown?

Brown is negative, red positive, orange signal. Atleast on all the ones I've had.

Now the real question, how do I make it fit? The receiver tray has been pretty much wipe out so the battery tray will have to be used for the ESC & receiver... where do I put the battery?

It's one of the big challenges with the mini's and micro's; getting it all together so it fits under a lid.
