:)Hi, i was wondering if anyone could help, was gonna treat myself after the year to a savage, but not sure whether to go for the 4.6 or the 5.9, I have been tring to find out the speed of the 5.9 but have had no luck, any ideas? I am fairly new to rc's so not really sure of the other diffrences, apart from the size! the price diffrence in the u.k. is around £50 or $100. Am moving up from a Tmaxx 2.5. any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'd go with the XL due to the upgrades it has for parts and in it's extra length. Stronger diffs, axles, axle cups, brakes, spur... lots of good stuff there even if you ditch the engine. If you upgrade the engine, you won't have to worry about drive train issues for quite some time.

As for the length, I know my 1" extended savage handles far better than my old school 21 savage ever did. The XL is even more extended I believe. Which should make it even more tame and better handling.

i agree with olds go with the savage XL it has more upgrades parts in it and has a 55mm longer wheelbase and 25mm wider track the engine on the XL has 3.75 horsepower

Just be sure to loosen the gp and preheat the engine during break-in. It's famous for breaking the OWB's and roto gears.
