Oh sorry bout thatI didn'y see your comparison but now i do.I will need to get that book. How about that one book "basics to nitro"?

it might help - but i think just regular reading of RCNitro Magazine will give u just as much info. The XXXMAIN book is something that is absolutely manditory though! As important as having tires on your car.

NA - How does that book compare to the AE Complete Tuning Guide for the NTC3? I purchased this shortly after I got the NTC3 and it seems to have a lot of info.

it doesn't compare - i have that too. the xxxmain guide actually gets into physics formulas of race cars. not to mention the amount of quick reference charts. for example: If your car pushes comeing out of a corner - first try this, then try this, then try this, ect....

did u goto your LHS? if they dont have it for that - then spend 19 - its worth its weight in gold.

hey cool i wil go out and get it tomorrow! I installed my Team Factory kit shocks set! DAMN it is nice! Rides smooth too, I have it setup to where it is a bit stiff all the way around. I used a digital caliper and the back are a bit stiffer than the front, but i got it to where i like it! If i was small enoguh, it would prolly be a smooth ride! lol.. Thanx for the suggestions.

Oh yeah I also installed my aluminum shock tower, I put it on the front, and i am getting another for the back, and I am going to get alum. diff cases, I am hoping to get it all K-factory style, but all within time!

Thanx once again!

congrats zoomer - somethings to know though.

first - the shocks in the rear should be quite a bit looser than the ones in the front. the NTC3 has a tendency to oversteer, and this helps alot, increase youe speed through the corners by a huge amount. I back my rear shocks up so soft, that when the car is off the ground, the springs just flop around on the shafts. in the front - i have the screw knob set at .8mm.

second - dont spend all your money on those aluminum parts unless u are doing it just for looks. if u are trying to gain strength or performance from them, they dont do any good. the parts in the team car, such as the diff cases and shock towers are made from a woven fiber plastic. its much stronger than aluminium, and extremely cheap. plus its alot lighter. again if this is just for show - go for it, but if u are trying to gain strength, then dont waste your money.

Yeah I spent so much cash on getting all the aluminum parts for my rtr3 but when hit the curb it bent my a- arm. I ended up selling most of them and replaced them with oem parts. the Oem take a beating more than their aluminum counter parts!

thanx for the info, i dont want to go all aluminum now, but the diff, cases and the other shock tower FOR ME! is a good idea, i have broken too many of them,

CURB = MAGNET FOR RC

I will agree with you on the towers but nothing else they are a waste of hard earned ..stolen money. The carbon fiber ones seem to work better IMO.

CURB + nitro car = less cash in pocket.!!!

lol true and the carbon parts a hell of alot cheaper! I tried out my car agin today, and i finally got it up to full speed and damn, this thing DRIFTS! I can get it to do a complete 360 at full speed and keep on going, this is BAD ASS!!!!! I love it, it finally does what i ask for it to do, it controlls like a video game now! Play midnight club 2, it controls very good! and takes corners too!

glad u are having fun zoomer - remember though, if u start racing - drifting is bad - scrubs off tons of speed, and doesn't allow for proper cornering lines.

drifting is fun for screwing around but nitroaddict sounds right. what happen if you power slide into a hard turn..and screw up? I sense an empty wallet and or pissed off fello drivers
