What would be the best shocks to put on a NTC3? I just got an aluminum shock tower, and now i am looking for the right shocks to do the trick!

The TEAM AE blue Alum. shocks have been working great for me. They are threaded as well for easy adjustment. I havent had a reason to switch yet.

;)

the AE shocks that come with the team kit are the best you can get. i also got the anodized aluminium tops for them. doesn't really do anything, but for 4.00 it looks cool.

If you have the RTR, you will want the Team Shocks. Like Christian said, they are threaded for easy adjustment. If you have the kit, I would stay with them.

where can i find this set of shocks? I just looked over tower, and someother places i know/ and nothing!

AE is fickle about selling parts from its kit via mail order - check your LHS - they will be able to order them for you and get them in about 3 days.

well my LHS is about like this :wedgie: you have to force them to do something, but I will go talk to them on mon.... They finally opened the track so now i can race!!!!!!

Since we are on the subject of shocks...I just purchased the team kit and one of my shocks don't quite work the same. On my front shocks one of the shock springs seem like it doesn't quite extend as far as the other one. I know all four are in equal size just the spring differs right? What amI doing wrong?

Could be a defect. Take the springs off and put them side by side level and see if they're the same height. If they aren't then that one is bad and needs to be replaced. If they're the same then it's something else.

Damn, i'm horrible at explaining stuff.

I will try it out but only problem is that I got the kit on Ebay. So I will more then likely fix it out of my own pocket. thanks once again Kwong!

How careful were you about bleeding the shocks and making sure each shock has the same volume of oil?

pretty careful. I kept "pumpimg" the shock and kept refilling it .I will check it again . Thanks!!!

Zoomer I used the oil that was supplied in the kit which is 40 wt

I bought some Integy MSR2 shocks from Racer Hobbies. They are threaded blue aluminum and come with 8 pairs of springs. I really like them so far. All I can compare them to is the stock RTR shocks, and they are way better. They do look great also, very nice finish. And work quite well too. You can get them for about $10-$15 a pair on ebay.

Hey bash_N_thrash how do they compare to the team kit ..the threaded shock assemblies.

I dont know for sure. I've never tried those. My RTR came with the plastic black ones. Cosmeticly the Integy's look better than the factory team ones IMO. They are all aluminum, no plastic caps. Also the top spring retainer is silver which makes it stand out on the blue body (or purple if you choose). As for performance I dont know. I like the way mine work, they seem much better (smoother) than the stock plastic ones. If money is no object you might want to consider the Factory Team shocks plus aluminum caps plus the spring kit. If money is a consideration then the Integy's are a great deal. Check ebay for pricing. I like Racer Hobbies for pricing and shipping time, but RadTech sells the exact same thing. Heres a picture of them.

Thanks Bash I will give it look. I got my NTC3 on ebay brand new. !!

jon - do u have the kit, or the rtr? if u have the kit - STAY WITH THOSE SHOCKS! they are the best money can buy.

I have the kit but one spring doesn't want to extend all the way it seems like someone compressed it too much but they look the same!! Yes the kit was awesome to build!!!
